  • Description
    Halfway between Bordeaux and Périgueux, about 20 kilometers from Saint Emilion and 8 kilometers from the Château de Montaigne, Château Mondésir was owned by the great-granddaughter of the author of the essays. The manor was built in the 17th century on the site of a medieval fortress of which four towers remain and which constituted an outpost of watch for the "English" bastide of Villefranche de Lonchat, founded by Edward I of England, around 1285.

    50% Merlot, 50% Cabernet Franc
  • Tasting notes

    Robe : cherry red
    Nose : elegant and rich nose with notes of small red fruits
    Palate : supple, fruity and well structured. The persistent finish reveals peppery and spicy notes

    To be enjoyed between 15° and 17°C
    Charcuterie platter, grilled meat, mushroom omelette or cheese platter with character
