1. Red wines from the South West of France
The Brennus wine
To begin our selection of wines from the South-West, let’s start with a red wine from the South-West!
Brennus wine takes its name from the Gaulish chief (invader of Rome in 390 BC – no less!) but also from the French rugby championship trophy.
With origins as combative as friendly, Brennus red wine could only be so!
To obtain its violet red color and its complex and intense aromas, the harvest is carried out when the grapes are very ripe.
This gives this South-Western wine mellow and powerful tannins with a round and fruity mouth.
As an aperitif, the Brennus will go perfectly with a nice platter of Southwestern charcuterie.
To be enjoyed between 15° and 17°C.
The Château la Roche des Amours
Behind its soft and romantic name hides a red wine of the South-West with character!
With an estate of 23 hectares, Château la Roche des Amours offers us fine and gourmet wines, including the red wine of the 2021 vintage.
With its intense red color with purple reflections and its notes of red fruits with light touches of vanilla, the red wine Château la Roche des Amours is a wine that will go perfectly with the beginning of a meal.
With its silky tannins and a nice finish, this wine will not fail to surprise the palate of your guests.
