What is an organic wine?
An organic wine is one produced from grapes grown according to the principles of organic agriculture. Organic farming focuses on preserving the ecosystem and reducing the use of synthetic chemicals.
To obtain the organic label, vineyards must comply with specific rules and standards. These include the use of environmentally-friendly cultivation methods such as the absence of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and synthetic herbicides. Organic winemakers generally favor sustainable farming practices, such as biodiversity management, water conservation and soil protection.
Restrictions also apply to the vinification of organic wines. Chemical additives and artificial clarifying agents are limited, and some sulfites (preservatives) are allowed, but at lower concentrations than those permitted in conventional wines.

Created in 1984, this range naturally refers to the emblematic Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux, a symbol of art and elegance. With these values in mind, we created this range with the aim of highlighting the richness of the Bordeaux terroir.
This range perfectly combines traditional winemaking expertise and environmentally-friendly practices, offering high-quality wines while preserving nature.

In addition to being certified organic, our Grand Théâtre BIO also has HVE3 (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certification, which guarantees that all agricultural practices used on the estate preserve the natural ecosystem and reduce pressure on the environment to a minimum.
